公司描述
The longstanding excellence in service provided through O’Bannon Funeral Home originates from its founders John Maston Peirce, who in 1918 opened the first Peirce Funeral Home on the corner of South Laurel and Pierce Street. In 1932 J.M. Peirce moved his funeral business to its present location at 210 South Laurel. Upon the passing of J.M. Peirce, his sons Maston and Foy Pierce operated the funeral home. Peirce Brothers’ Funeral Home carried the same commitment to excellence in compassionate service for which Peirce Funeral Home had long been recognized and celebrated. In the mid 1960’s Don Chambers bought the funeral home and changed the name to Chambers Funeral Home. And in 1969, Don partnered with Lloyd “Dean” and Brenda O’Bannon, and Chamber’s Funeral Home soon became Chambers – O’Bannon Funeral Home, distinguishing itself as the provider of compassionate caring service following the traditions the community came to expect from the Peirce family. Dean and Brenda O’Bannon endeared themselves to the community of Luling and surrounding areas, becoming Luling legends known for their generosity to the city and anyone in need both in good times and difficult times. In the mid 1970’s, Dean and Brenda purchased Don’s interest in the funeral home, and with the help of his nephew Gary “Bear” O’Bannon, continued to faithfully serve Luling and the residents of Caldwell County. Dean and Brenda retired in March of 1995, after over two decades of caring service, and passed the torch of tradition to Timothy T. Markham. At that time Tim became the owner and President of O’Bannon Funeral Home, and Joe Tetley, a longtime faithful employee became the Managing Funeral Director. Today, Tim and Joe continue the traditions of service to families, begun in 1918, to help each family we serve fulfill their unique wishes in celebrating the lives of their loved ones.
