When we say that a Honda will last 280k miles it's because we heard a guy say it. It's because WE'VE worked on Hondas that have more 280k miles. It's because WE'VE looked at thousands of Hondas on Auto Trader and complied the data. In other words, we take real-world data and experience and use it to advise the average (and not-so-average) driver.
